The police burst through my door, arresting me on made up charges of murder.

It was a serious crime which carried the death sentence. It could also ruin my reputation.

But I knew, then and there, whilst the police were beating me with their truncheons, that this was the situation I needed.

Then, after 11 days, it finally happened. The opportunity presented itself to me, and I seized it with both hands.

At around 9pm at night, the night watchman had fallen asleep. He usually fell asleep at this time, and I had taken note. However, on this day, he'd brought with him his young daughter. She looked to be around 7 years old, but I don't know for sure.

She was a very cute girl and wore ribbons in her hair, she always smiled when I looked at her through the bars on my door.

I whispered to the daughter through the letterbox in my cell door, careful not to awake the guard, and asked her to take the keys from her father's desk and pass them to me.

She smiled and innocently brought me the keys. Silently, I unlocked my door.

Oftentimes, opportunities present themselves to us, and we're too scared to take them - or we don't recognise them.

This, I knew, was my opportunity.

Without hesitation, I crept out of the cell block, leaving the prison and setting out over the barren Gobi desert.

I then walked, for months, over 917 miles until I reached the safety of a temple perched high up in the Tibetan Mountains.

The Chinese authorities didn't dare venture into the Tibetan Highlands, so I knew I was safe now, and I spent the next 25 years carefully refining my numerology skills, so I can finally share them with the world.
